Customization is the watchword at Electric Bike Co. Most of their models allow a greater variety and depth of customization than we typically see. They make eight different models—four of them cruisers, as well as some city/commuter models.
What makes the buying experience so different with Electric Bike Co. is that buyers have the ability to choose the color/finish of most components on their e-bike as well as more substantive features like battery size, wheel size, single-speed vs. 7-speed, the addition of a suspension seatpost and the opportunity to purchase an extended warranty.
Customization comes at a cost. Taking advantage of the full range of EBC’s options can double the price of one of their e-bikes. They do have some budget-minded options, though, such as their Models A and F. EBC’s e-bikes ship as Class 2 with a maximum speed of 20 mph and a throttle to step in for tired legs.
Shoppers looking for a simpler buying experience but who still want a stylish cruiser can visit one of EBC’s dealers. They have more than 100 dealers around the US with three brand-specific showrooms in Southern California. Worth noting is their warranty covers the battery for five years and the motor and other components (including frame and fork) for ten years.
