Most of the consumer-direct e-bike brands we see concentrate on e-bikes that go for less than $2000. That’s the price range that sells the best and where a buyer’s dollar goes farthest. QuietKat has built their brand with a different focus, choosing to produce all-terrain e-bikes suitable to a wide range of budgets.
QuietKat makes eight different models—all all-terrain e-bikes—and they begin at $1999 and climb in price to their top-of-the-line model, which goes for $6799. All but one of their models feature a suspension fork, and all but one of their models come with tires at least 4-in. wide. Their entry-level model sports a single speed drivetrain; as the models progress through the price points the drivetrain receives upgrades to 7, 8 and 9-speed setups. Half their models feature the 9-speed SRAM gearing.
Because QuietKat is focused on backcountry use rather than commuters or more city-oriented e-bikes, all but two of their models include hydraulic disc brakes—those are spec’d with mechanical disc brakes—and half of their models feature powerful 4-piston hydraulic brakes. Another feature we see on their upper-end models is full-suspension.
QuietKat is part of Vista Outdoor, a holding company that covers many corners of the outdoor market. Their other brands include Bushnell, Bell Helmets, Primos Hunting and Camp Chef.
As a brand, QuietKat’s has focused on outdoorsmen—hunters and anglers especially—with e-bikes designed to help them reach locations that would be difficult to reach by other means. Their accessory lineup includes packages designed to serve hunters, anglers and overlanders.
